Lear launches expansion project for auto system production facility in China’s Shenyang city

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 26, Lear China announced a major expansion of its Shenyang Lear Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as "Shenyang Lear") facility, signifying a new phase in the company's growth.

Shenyang serves as a crucial hub for China’s automotive industry and a comprehensive base for ancillary services, making it a significant location for Lear.

Founded in 1917, Lear specializes in automotive seating and electronic systems technology. The company stands out as a vertically integrated seating systems supplier, and its innovative product technologies and services extend to major automotive manufacturers worldwide. Boasting a global network of R&D centers and manufacturing factories, Lear operates over 40 manufacturing plants in China alone, with three automotive seating factories established in Shenyang city.

Serving as one of BMW's vital strategic partners globally, Lear's ongoing relationship with the renowned German car manufacturer is also evident in Shenyang. Dieter Dullinger, Deputy General Manager of BMW Brilliance's Purchasing and Parts Quality Management Department, stated, "Over the past few years, Lear, with its innovative seating, related parts, and excellent services, has made significant contributions and support to the BMW Group and BMW Brilliance."

The factory's expansion demonstrates the continued deepening of the collaboration between Lear and BMW, with Lear committed to delivering high-quality products to BMW.
