Tesla cuts price for Model S, Model X vehicles in China

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On the first day of July, Tesla announced a discount promotion plan for its Model S and Model X  vehicles in China. Specifically, customers who purchase the Model S and Model X vehicles in stock will enjoy discounts ranging from 35,000 yuan to 45,000 yuan.

With these incentives, the starting price for the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive Model S is now 773,900 yuan, while the Tri Motor All-Wheel Drive Model S Plaid version starts at 988,900 yuan. 

At the same time, the starting price for the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive Model X is cut to 863,900 yuan, and the Tri Motor All-Wheel Drive Model X Plaid is 1,013,900 yuan.

Notably, this is not the first time Tesla has implemented alternative price adjustments. On June 16, the company announced on Weibo that customers who purchase the in-stock Model 3 RWD version and complete the delivery process between June 16 and June 30 will enjoy an 8,000-yuan insurance subsidy and favorable loan rates.

Last year, in mid-September, Tesla introduced a similar 8,000-yuan insurance subsidy policy. Following multiple price increases throughout 2022, Tesla implemented its first price reduction in October, bringing the subsidized price of the Model 3 RWD version to 265,900 yuan.
