FlagChip, Shanghai Edrive, Zhicong Technology join forces to drive localization of electric drive controllers

Beijing (Gasgoo)- FlagChip, Shanghai Edrive, and Zhicong Technology signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on June 29. The three parties aim to deepen their collaboration in the automotive field and promote the development of China-made electric drive controllers.

Amid the major trend of vehicle electrification and chip localization, the Chinese automotive industry is facing significant opportunities for profound self-transformation. FlagChip, Shanghai Edrive, and Zhicong Technology, with a vision of localization and win-win cooperation, are leveraging their respective strengths in the chip, electric drive controllers, and foundational software aspects to create a complete solution for domestic components.

Established in October 2020, FlagChip develops high-performance and highly reliable system-on-chip solutions for various automotive applications based on ARM Cortex M4, M7, and other architectures. Finally, located in the Lingang Special Area of Shanghai, Zhicong Technology is a professional automotive software company specializing in the development of automotive electronic foundational software products and related technical services. It is a member of the AUTOSAR organization. Since its establishment in 2014, the company has focused on five main product lines: foundational software, tool software, functional safety, information security, and FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air), while providing corresponding engineering services.
