Great Wall Motor to locally produce Haval-branded vehicles in Uzbekistan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, Great Wall Motor ("GWM") and ADM Jizzakh officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement for market development in Uzbekistan, according to a post on GWM's WeChat account.

Under this agreement, GWM's products will be locally produced at the ADM Jizzakh's factory in Uzbekistan, with the factory planning to achieve a yearly production capacity of over 10,000 Haval-branded vehicles by 2024.

In the future, GWM will explore the possibility of deep localization of its products and cooperation on new energy vehicles with ADM Automobile Group, fully supporting the strategic transformation of GWM into an intelligent technology company.

Zhang Junxue, the President of GWM Eurasia, stated, "GWM will continue to implement its product-category-focused strategy and make a comprehensive entry into the Uzbekistan market. Through both oil-fueled and new energy vehicles, we will carry out localized cooperation with our partners, aiming for the successful launch and sales of Haval brand and locally produced models in 2023."

Uzbekistan, as the second-largest automotive market in the Eurasian region, is a successful example of the transition from a planned economy to a market economy, holding enormous potential for development. This cooperation represents another significant step for GWM in deepening its presence in the Eurasian market. With high-quality automobile products, GWM wishes to bring new market vitality and development opportunities to the Uzbekistan market.

Currently, GWM's presence in the Central Asian market is gradually becoming more comprehensive. In addition to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan will be the company's third and most significant Central Asian automotive market to be fully developed, accelerating the globalization process of GWM.
