SERES Group sells 6,934 new energy vehicles in July 2023

Beijing (Gasgoo)- In July 2023, SERES Group, Huawei's automaking partner, encountered double-digit year-on-year decline in monthly sales of both oil-fueled and new energy vehicles (NEVs), according to the company’s announcement issued this week.

In the past month, SERES Group sold a total of 12,039 vehicles, down 45.99% year on year. In the first seven months of this year, the automaker’s cumulative sales volume amounted to 104,202 vehicles, dropping 29.57% from a year ago. 

Among the vehicles sold in July, 6,934 units were NEVs, falling 47.83% compared to the year-ago period and accounting for 57.6% of the company’s monthly sales. 

Specifically, of the NEVs sold in the past month, 4,240 units were from SERES Auto, which owns both the SERES and AITO brands. In the past seven months of 2023, SERES Auto sold 30,001 vehicles in total, a year-on-year growth of 2.09%. 

Notably, in a bid to cement their cooperation and further the brand development, SERES Auto and Huawei established a joint workgroup for the sales and services for the AITO brand. Started July 1, the workgroup is responsible for managing the marketing, sales, delivery, service, and distribution channels of the brand.
