Changan Auto’s Deepal brand sees 11.87% MoM jump in August deliveries

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On the first day of September, Deepal, the new energy vehicle brand of Changan Automobile released its August delivery figures, which showed month-over-month growth.

In August, Deepal delivered 14,736 vehicles in total, representing a 11.87% jump from the previous month. Its second production model, the S7 SUV, contributed 10,039 units to the monthly volume. Notably, the S7 began large-scale deliveries at the end of June.

In the firsts eight months of this year, the automaker saw its auto deliveries reach 69,534 vehicles. 

Deepal introduced the upgraded version of its first production model, the SL03, at the recent Chengdu Motor Show 2023. The revamped vehicle lineup includes four different configurations, ranging in price from 145,900 yuan to 191,900 yuan. 

The new Deepal SL03 showcases a bold design evolution, featuring newly added 19-inch sporty wheels. The refreshed model presents a renewed center console armrest box with simplified functional divisions, creating efficient space utilization.

Based on its rear-wheel-drive prowess, the all-new SL03 boasts an optimized maximum power output of 190 kW and a peak torque of 320 Nm from its electric motor, enabling the pure electric variant to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds. Additionally, a newly introduced 135 km extended-range version achieves a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.2 seconds.
