Leapmotor C01's extended-range edition hits market, starting at 145,800 yuan

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle startup Leapmotor officially put the C01 extended-range electric vehicle model (C01 EREV) onto the market on September 20. 

This model is available in three different configurations, with official prices ranging from 145,800 yuan to 169,800 yuan.

The most significant feature of the C01 EREV is its extended-range hybrid powertrain system. It incorporates a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated range extender with a maximum power output of 70 kW, complemented by an electric motor with a peak power of 200 kW and 360 Nm of torque, consistent with the fully electric version. 

Speaking of electric range, the C01 EREV model will come in two variants, standard and long-range. The standard version boasts a 30.1 kWh battery pack with a battery-only range of 148 km, while the long-range version is equipped with a 43.7 kWh battery pack, delivering an impressive 248 km of battery-powered range, all measured according to WLTC standards.

On the exterior, the C01 EREV maintains Leapmotor's distinctive familial design. However, due to the inclusion of the range extender, there are some notable distinctions in the front grille compared to the pure electric version.

Inside, the C01 EREV follows a minimalist design approach and is equipped with an intelligent triple-screen setup, which is comprised with a 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch central touchscreen, and a 10.25-inch entertainment screen for the co-pilot. The infotainment system features the advanced 8155 automotive-grade chip from Qualcomm.

In terms of intelligent cabin features, the new model supports voice commands, sound localization, and continuous conversations. The vehicle retains Leapmotor's advanced LeapmotorPilot intelligent driving assistance system, which includes 23 intelligent driving assistance functions, such as collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane centering, 360-degree panoramic view, adaptive cruise control, and automatic parking. These features cover various driving scenarios, from city commutes to highway journeys and parking maneuvers. Additionally, it is equipped with the high-precision NAP intelligent navigation assistance system, which adjusts the route based on real-time navigation, significantly reducing the driver's workload.
