Chery Holding’s monthly sales exceed 190,000 units for first time in Sept. 2023

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Chery Holding reported September sales of 190,080 vehicles, marking a substantial 30.7% year-on-year surge. This milestone marked the first time Chery's monthly sales surpassed 190,000 units.

Over the first nine months of the year, Chery Holding achieved a cumulative sales volume of 1,253,237 vehicles, representing a 40.2% spike from a year ago. According to the automaker, its Jan.-Sept. sales volume exceeded that of the annual volume in 2022. 

Among Chery Holding's primary passenger car brands, CHERY brand reported September sales of 136,041 vehicles, which jumped 20.4% year over year. The brand’s cumulative sales for January to September reached 909,374 vehicles, leaping 33.8% from the previous year.

In the meantime, monthly sales of the EXEED brand came in at 15,199 vehicles in the past month, skyrocketing 93.9% year on year. The brand’s cumulative sales for the first nine months of the year stood at 80,982 vehicles, soaring 122.4% from a year ago. 

JETOUR brand sold 32,129 vehicles last month, marking a 68.9% year-on-year hike. In the Jan.-Sept. period, JETOUR sold a total of 194,029 vehicles, indicating a robust 67.7% surge compared to the previous year.

Chery Holding continues to introduce new models, maintaining a pace of introducing a new car every month across its brand portfolio, further propelling its sales to new heights. In September alone, CHERY brand introduced the "Fengyun" series of new energy products, unveiling the Fengyun A9 and Fengyun T11 models. Additionally, the all-electric SUV Chery eQ7 and the JETOUR Traveler went on sale as well. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, Chery Holding will welcome highly anticipated models such as the EXEED Yaoguang C-DM, the STERRA ES, and the iCAR 03, further enriching its comprehensive product lineup spanning conventional fuel, hybrid, and pure electric vehicles.
