Dongfeng AEOLUS’ SKY EV01 all-electric SUV hits market, starting at 121,900 yuan

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng AEOLUS, the passenger vehicle brand under Dongfeng Motor, officially put its inaugural all-electric SUV built on the exclusive Mach-E aluminum lightweight platform, the SKY EV01, onto the market on October 30.

Positioned as a compact SUV, the SKY EV01 offers four variants with different ranges, namely 445km AIR/PRO and 520km AIR/PRO, with an official price range of 121,900 yuan-139,900 yuan.

The SKY EV01 comes in three exterior colors, and two interior colors. It features a design language referred to as "Aerial Aesthetics" with a claimed 0.618 golden body ratio, incorporating elements like an integrated front grille, concealed door handles, and a sizable rear spoiler.

Measuring 4,670mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,613mm height, with a wheelbase of 2,775mm and a drag coefficient of 0.3Cd, the SKY EV01 promises aerodynamic efficiency.

Inside, the interior houses a 10.25-inch LCD combination instrument panel and a 10.4-inch touch screen, although official details regarding the vehicle's infotainment system and driver assistance capabilities are yet to be disclosed.

In terms of power, the SKY EV01 features a mass-produced square CTP (cell-to-pack) battery, ensuring rapid and safe responses in extreme situations. The electric motor boasts a peak power of 160kW, a peak torque of 310N·m, a 6.9-second 0-100km/h acceleration time, and a 12.8kWh/100km electricity consumption. It supports DC fast charging, capable of replenishing 100km of range in just 8 minutes and charging from 30% to 80% in 28 minutes.

Moreover, the vehicle claims to achieve 86% of its range with air conditioning running at 25°C and 70% under -15°C with the interior at 22°C.
