FAW Jiefang delivers year-to-date 1,000th JH6 tractor to South African market

Beijing (Gasgoo)- In a recent ceremony held in Johannesburg, FAW South Africa, the South African operating entity of FAW Group, marked a significant milestone with the delivery of its 1000th Jiefang JH6 tractor for the year 2023.

Since its entry into the South African market, FAW South Africa has adhered to the principle of "Made in South Africa, Serving Africa," strategically planning market expansions and innovating marketing techniques. 

With a combination of initiatives like targeting grassroots markets, listening to customer feedback, refining product details, and innovating modification strategies, the brand garnered wide recognition and acceptance among local markets and users. This delivery signifies FAW Jiefang's strong market presence and establishes the JH6 as one of the leading heavy-duty truck brands in the local market.

The FAW South Africa Coega Plant was officially established in July 2014, with the first locally manufactured Jiefang truck rolling off the assembly line. Over nine years of production, the plant has delivered a total of 12,590 Jiefang trucks to the local market.

In November 2023, FAW Jiefang sold 22,866 vehicles, which shot up 72.4% from a year ago. In the first ten months of this year, the truck maker saw its cumulative auto sales reach 209,423 units, representing a 41.7% surge year over year.
