Polestones starts nationwide delivery of its first production model ‘Polestones 01’

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker Polestones' inaugural model, the Polestones 01, officially began nationwide deliveries on November 25, according to the automaker's press release.

Polestones was co-founded by ROX Motor and Beijing Automobile Works Co., Ltd. ("BAW"). In this collaboration, ROX Motor is responsible for providing intelligent solutions and design schemes, while BAW handles the vehicle's manufacturing process.

The Polestones 01, positioned as a mid-to-large intelligent premium SUV, comes with 6-seater and 7-seater options and utilizes an extended-range hybrid power system. Going on sale on Aug. 22, the 7-seater variant carries a nationwide unified retail price of 349,900 yuan, while the 6-seater version is priced at 359,900 yuan.

Following its official market launch, the first production unit of the Polestones 01 rolled off the production line at the Qingdao factory on October 21.

Equipped with a 56kWh battery from CATL, the Polestones 01 boasts a WLTC range of 235 km on battery power alone, a combined range of 1,115 km, and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. In terms of intelligent features, the vehicle incorporates three LiDAR units from Hesai Technology, including a 128-line forward-facing LiDAR and two side-mounted solid-state LiDAR units. Additionally, it is equipped with 12 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars.

The Polestones 01 adopts a full-aluminum chassis design, featuring a front double-wishbone and rear H-arm multi-link suspension. Combined with millisecond-level responsive DCC continuous active variable damping shock absorbers, this design significantly enhances driving comfort and stability on long-distance bumpy roads.

Moreover, Polestones revealed it has inaugurated its user service and retail centers in cities like Shanghai, Changsha, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Ningbo, Nanjing, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. As per its initial plan, Polestones aims to establish 17 experience showrooms, 11 delivery centers, and 11 service centers in 17 cities across the country by the end of this year. Simultaneously, it plans to construct 62 authorized body and paint service centers in 55 cities.
