JAC Group, Huawei announce plans to co-build intelligent electric vehicles

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 1, JAC Group announced the signing of the "Intelligent New Energy Vehicle Cooperation Agreement" with Huawei Device Co., Ltd. (Huawei Device), to build premium intelligent connected vehicles.

This collaboration aims to leverage Huawei's successful experience in creating high-end products within the consumer domain. JAC Group and Huawei will join forces, capitalizing on their respective strengths and cooperating in product development, manufacturing, sales, and services based on Huawei's intelligent automotive solutions. The ultimate goal is to craft luxurious intelligent connected electric vehicles.

To ensure the timely launch of their collaborative models, both parties have outlined specific responsibilities. They've agreed to allocate duties accordingly, committing resources at each stage of the cooperative project, including manpower, production line resources, supply chain resources, and finances.

Regarding product development, JAC Group will oversee the overall development of the collaborative vehicle models, with specific tasks subject to agreements between Huawei Device (and/or its affiliates) and JAC Group.

In the manufacturing sphere, JAC Group will establish production bases, providing users with comprehensive intelligent manufacturing solutions. Leveraging Huawei's strengths, they aim to construct advanced manufacturing capabilities.

For sales, JAC Group has consented to Huawei Device or its designated third parties exclusively offering sales services globally. This encompasses marketing, sales, user engagement, and ecosystem operations. Any export operations related to collaborative models will be implemented upon mutual agreement.

In terms of services, both Huawei Device and JAC Group will collaboratively establish a user-centric service system to ensure efficient, convenient, and high-quality delivery for the collaborative models.
