Dongfeng Nissan's Venucia delivers battery- swappable D60EV taxis in Guangzhou

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 12, Dongfeng Nissan Venucia forged a strategic alliance with Guangzhou Ruyue Chuxing, a subsidiary of Guangzhou Public Transportation Group Co., Ltd.

This partnership marked the signing and on-site delivery of 150 units of the D60EV battery- swappable taxis out of a contracted 700 units in total. 

For taxi drivers, cost-saving remains a crucial aspect in vehicle selection. The D60EV's low energy consumption and operating costs genuinely embody the concept of "earning while driving", said Venucia.

In estimating operational data of 300 kilometers per day, a typical charging EV taxi's battery degradation over four years is approximately 30-40% or even less. With a single battery replacement over eight years, the costs range around 50,000-80,000 yuan. However, the D60EV battery-swap edition is able to eliminate the hassle of multiple replacements and ensuring worry-free operation.

At an estimated cost of 0.22 yuan per kilometer for battery swaps (subject to local rates), the D60EV outperforms traditional oil-fueled vehicles by saving approximately 0.18 yuan per kilometer. This translates to savings of 63 yuan per day, 1,953 yuan per month, and an impressive 23,436 yuan annually, the automaker calculated. Furthermore, with simplified maintenance and lower operational costs, these electric vehicles offer drivers a financially efficient solution.

Upon delivery of the vehicles, the D60EV battery-swap taxis will be available on the Ruyue Chuxing online ride-hailing platform. 

The D60EV battery-swappable model has already been introduced in several cities nationwide, including Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Nanning, Hohhot, Shenyang, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, and others.
