Geely Holding Group, China Merchants Group ally on sustainable technology advancement

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 18, Geely Holding Group and China Merchants Group inked a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Shenzhen, aiming to establish a sustainable partnership.

This pact leverages efficient and innovative collaboration to foster resource sharing and complementary strengths between the two parties. It spans multiple domains such as the automotive supply chain, methanol industry, green shipping, smart transportation, comprehensive finance, park construction and revitalization in Northeast China, new energy vehicle promotion, industrial internet, and digital carbon management, enhancing resilience and autonomy across the industry chain.

At the same time, Geely Holding and China Merchants will jointly construct a comprehensive methanol ecosystem, focusing on green methanol production, storage, transportation, and replenishment station deployment. The two parties will collaborate deeply in shipboard methanol-hydrogen power systems as well as the development and application of green low-carbon marine fuels, promoting the utilization of green methanol technology in the shipping field.
