Dongfeng Motor Group posts 15.26% YoY rise in Aug. new energy vehicle sales
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor Group) announced on September 9 that it sold 123,782 vehicles in August 2024, which dropped 31.77% year on year.

Of the vehicles sold in the past month, 36,362 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs), including 34,296 passenger vehicles and 2,066 commercial vehicles. Compared to that of the previous year, Dongfeng Motor Group’s NEV sales rose 15.26% in August.
In the first eight months of this year, Dongfeng Motor Group sold a total of 1,198,249 vehicles, representing a 7.14% dip year-on-year. However, the automaker’s NEV sector still witnessed a 21.2% year-on-year increase in sales, which came in at 220,529 vehicles.
Regarding Dongfeng Motor Group’s wholly-owned brands, Dongfeng Motor Passenger Vehicle Company (including Aeolus, eπ, and NAMMI brands) sold 19,460 vehicles in August this year, indicating a significant 72.81% soar from the year-ago period. Meanwhile, VOYAH, the group’s premium new energy vehicle brand, realized a 34.05% surge in monthly sales, which stood at 5,374 vehicles. Additionally, Dongfeng Motor’s high-end electric off-roader brand MHERO sold 134 vehicles in the past month.
