Great Wall Motor scores 14.75% MoM growth in Sept. 2024 vehicle sales volume
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In September 2024, Great Wall Motor ("GWM") sold 108,398 vehicles, representing a year-on-year decrease of 10.88%, but boasting a month-on-month growth of 14.75%, according to its latest monthly sales results.

Of the vehicles GWM sold last month, 30,129 units were contributed by the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector. Meanwhile, the company also reported an overseas sales volume of 44,105 units for the month.
For the first nine months of 2024, GWM sold a total of 853,813 vehicles, a slight decrease of 1.18% compared to the same period last year. Its NEV sales reached 211,492 units for the period, which jumped 24.15% from a year earlier, while the year-to-date overseas sales soared by 53.16% year on year to 324,244 units. Additionally, sales of models priced over 200,000 yuan amounted to 212,488 units, reflecting a year-on-year leap of 38.72%.
Breaking down the sales performance by specific brands, Haval brand led the charge with 62,900 units sold in September, bringing its year-to-date total to 471,748 vehicles.
WEY brand recorded cumulative sales of 32,388 units for the Jan.-Sept. period, which edged down 1.76% from the previous year. However, in September alone, the brand saw its monthly sales zoom up 165.11% year over year.
TANK brand performed well, with 18,740 vehicles sold last month, representing a 3.8% year-on-year increase. Year-to-date sales for TANK reached 169,810 units, a 62.43% year-on-year spike.
In addition, both Great Wall Pick-up and ORA brands faced year-on-year drops in their Sept. and year-to-date vehicle sales.
