Voyager Tech, Shanghai MEKRA Lang to build joint venture for CMS business development

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, Voyager Tech and Shanghai MEKRA Lang Vehicle Mirror Co., Ltd. (Shanghai MEKRA Lang), a wholly-owned subsidiary of MEKRA Lang Group in China, signed an agreement, under which the two parties will build a joint venture named Shanghai MEKRA Lang-Voyager Technology, which focuses on the R&D, iteration, production, and sales of the camera monitor system (CMS) (electronic exterior mirrors) for global commercial vehicles, according to a post on Voyager Tech's WeChat account.

The establishment of the new joint venture is in response to the industry trend characterized by green and sustainable development. It aims to accelerate the application and innovation of electronic exterior mirrors, offering more efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly mirror solutions for global commercial vehicles. This collaboration will also enable the new venture to benefit from MEKRA Lang's R&D expertise and resources in the field of electronic exterior mirrors.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Chen Yinren, founder and CEO of Voyager Tech, stated, "We are delighted to partner with MEKRA Lang. Mr. Shen Jian, General Manager of Shanghai MEKRA Lang added, "Electronic exterior mirrors have been explored and validated in Europe for many years. However, there are still opportunities in global markets to integrate them with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), adding more CMS+ features such as blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and obstacle detection to enhance driving safety. This will meet the customization and diversification needs of Chinese customers. We believe the joint venture will grow rapidly, bringing new opportunities and injecting fresh vitality into China's commercial vehicle mirror market."
