Leapmotor achieves highest-ever monthly deliveries in Dec. 2024

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle maker Leapmotor delivered 42,517 vehicles in December 2024, marking its second consecutive month with deliveries surpass 40,000 units, according to the company's announcement on Jan. 1. Compared to the year-ago period, the carmaker achieved a 128% year-over-year soar.

With seven months of consecutive record-breaking performance, Leapmotor closed the year 2024 with nearly 300,000 vehicles delivered, cumulatively, which already exceeded the company's annual target. According to Leapmotor, it aims to deliver 500,000 vehicles in 2025.

On December 25, Leapmotor celebrated its 9th anniversary. Founder, Chairman, and CEO Zhu Jiangming addressed employees, emphasizing the vision to become a globally respected smart new energy vehicle company. Mr. Zhu outlined four key objectives: enhancing brand value, driving innovation and cost efficiency, creating high-quality blockbuster models, and accelerating international expansion.

In May, Leapmotor and Stellantis formed a joint venture, Leapmotor International, to bring Leapmotor's models to the global market. The joint venture has already established over 200 dealerships in 13 European countries and aims to expand to 500 sales points in Europe by the end of 2025. Beginning in the fourth quarter of 2024, Leapmotor International will extend its presence to the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and South America, solidifying its global footprint.
