Stellantis appoints Xin Tianshu as COO of China operations

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Stellantis on March 7 announced key leadership changes in its China operations, appointing Mr. Xin Tianshu as Chief Operating Officer of Stellantis China and head of the Stellantis-Leapmotor strategic alliance. He will also continue to serve as CEO of the Leapmotor International joint venture.

Meanwhile, Mr. Grégoire Olivier has been named Head of China Market Strategy and Senior Advisor for Stellantis. Both Xin and Olivier report to Mr. Maxime Picat, Stellantis Executive Vice President and Interim Executive Committee Member. The appointments already took effect on February 26, 2025.  

Mr. Xin Tianshu brings 30 years of experience in corporate management across multiple industries, covering operations, strategy, business development, M&A, sales, and marketing. Since November 2023, he has led the establishment of the Leapmotor International joint venture as its CEO.  

Before that, Mr. Xin played a key role in Stellantis China's corporate planning, business expansion, product strategy, joint ventures, and government affairs as a member of the China Executive Committee. Prior to Stellantis' formation in 2021, he oversaw strategy and partnerships for Groupe PSA in China. He has also held senior management roles at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), Visteon, and IHS, focusing on strategy, marketing, and business operations.
