XPENG granted 10-billion-yuan credit line from China CITIC Bank

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 14, XPENG signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China CITIC Bank in Guangzhou, according to a post on XPENG's WeChat account.

Under the agreement, the bank's Guangzhou branch will extend a credit line of 10 billion yuan to XPENG, a move expected to improve the automaker's cash efficiency and cost management.

Both parties described the deal as a deepening of their partnership, underscoring the bank's confidence in XPENG's growth prospects and long-term competitiveness.

XPENG's recent sales momentum has been strong. In July, deliveries reached 36,717 units, up 229% year-on-year and marking the ninth straight month above 30,000 units. For the first seven months of 2025, total deliveries soared 270% over a year earlier to 233,906 vehicles, with cumulative deliveries since its founding surpassing 800,000 units.

The company is also accelerating its global expansion. Overseas deliveries in the first half of 2025 hit 18,701 units, a 217% year-on-year hike, with its footprint now spanning 46 countries and regions.

On July 11, XPENG showcased its 2025 G6 and G9 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, announcing launches in new European markets including the UK, Italy, and Ireland.

Later in July, at the GIIAS 2025, the company revealed Indonesia as its first overseas hub to achieve local production, delivering a locally built XPENG X9 to its first customer.

Looking ahead, XPENG said it will keep ramping up investment in AI and electrification technologies while strengthening global sales and service networks, positioning itself for its next decade as a "global AI-driven automaker."
