SAIC Motor’s software arm teams up with iFLYTEK for AI, SOA, big data businesses

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 28, SAIC Z-ONE, SAIC Motor's software unit founded in July 2020, inked a framework agreement with the Chinese leading AI and speed technology company iFLYTEK to carry out strategic cooperation on AI technology, SOA (service-oriented architecture) platform, intelligent hardware, voice technology, and big data, according to a post on SAIC Z-ONE's WeChat account.

Under the agreement, iFLYTEK will offer SAIC Z-ONE its intelligent speech technologies and products, and assist the latter with pre-research and application of innovative technologies by leveraging its multimodal automotive voice solutions.

Moreover, iFLYTEK will help SAIC Z-ONE independently develop speech algorithm capability and improve branding through offering its voice private cloud service. Both parties will also jointly build an evaluation system for voice interaction.

Based on SAIC Z-ONE's SOA digital platform, the duo will co-work on the development of in-car application software and jointly define voice-related applications. Additionally, the two companies will step up cooperation on such cutting-edge technical fields as basis of software, AI, network information, big data, and cloud computing.

SAIC Motor revealed its latest solution to smart vehicles, the SAIC Z-ONE Galaxy Full-stack Solution, at the SAIC Developer Conference held in Shanghai on April 9. The solution includes four fundamental technical pillars, namely a centralized electronic architecture, a SOA, intelligent vehicle data plant, a full-stack OTA and cyber security solution. It also includes an intelligent scene service platform, which is expected to provide end-to-end experience.
