Li Auto releases OTA 2.2 with multi-section voice control
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Li Auto released its OTA 2.2 version recently which has been pushed to users already. The new version includes two significant updates, the application center and the free conversation function.
The 2.2 version Li application center is more flexible as the function is no longer subject to OTA system updates. The improved function allows users to customize their app list, updating, downloading or removing applications as they please.
Notably, the highlight of this update is the new and optimized voice control assistant, Li Xiang Tongxue (schoolmate Li Xiang in English). The assistant is updated in over 70 aspects, including useful functions like continuous conversation, four-section sound lock (in driver’s seat, passenger seat, rear-left section, and rear-right section), and cross-section context dialogue.
The continuous conversation function allows users to give out multiple commands in 20 seconds by summoning Li Xiang Tongxue once, and disrupt the assistant anytime without waiting for it to finish its sentences.
The four-section sound lock is a family-friendly function update, since users has free control over which seat the assistant listens to. For example, one can ask the assistant not to listen to the commands from the rear row to eliminate kids abusing the voice control function, and compromising driving safety.
The cross-section context dialogue function allows users in different sections to make commands simultaneously. Lixiang Tongxue can read the context and figure out the users’ intentions. For instance, when the driver commands the assistant to lower the temperature to 25 °C, and the other passenger says “me, too”, Lixiang Tongxue will analyze the context and set the exact temperature in both sections.
According to the product manager of Li Auto’s intelligent voice unit, He Yongqiang, Li ONE has accumulated massive user scenario data via over 1 billion user travel mileage so far. Data shows, holiday usage of the Li ONE surpassed weekday usage. With a 65% passenger seat occupancy, Li Auto believes that traveling in groups is the norm among Li ONE owners. Moreover, the voice control usage in driver seats dominates at 72% among the four sound sections, indicating the ONE has a more family-oriented pivot. Hence, the company has been working on optimizing the ONE for a more comprehensive family using experience.
