Daimler China buys three-year data management service from NavInfo
Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s navigation giant NavInfo received a three-year contract from Daimler Greater China Ltd. (Daimler) for its autonomous driving data management platform service, NavInfo announced today.

Under the order, NavInfo will perform system construction and integration for Daimler’s autonomous driving platform in China. The contract stated that starting this month, NavInfo will be in charge of the data management service of the said platform until November 2024. NavInfo will offer data processing services for Daimler’s mass-produced passenger vehicles in China during the three years.
As long-term partners, the two companies have been cooperating for many years. The autonomous driving data managing order this time signified NavInfo’s competitiveness in the autonomous driving mapping field, further promoting the broad passenger vehicle application of the company’s products.
Moreover, according to another announcement made yesterday, NavInfo will be providing navigation, mapping data, and online services for the mass-produced fossil-fueled vehicles from SAIC Volkswagen from 2024 to 2029.
In the meantime, NavInfo’s joint venture company Anji-NavInfo received a supplier nomination letter from SAIC Volkswagen and will be participating in the automaker’s navigation electronic system procurement process as a Tier 1 supplier.
