SenseTime joins hands with FAW subsidiary for intelligent vehicle mass-production

Beijing (Gasgoo)- AI company SenseTime has teamed up with the AI development arm of FAW Group, FAW Nanjing Technology, to promote the development and mass-production of new-generation intelligent vehicles.

The two companies will work together in the aspects of intelligent assistant driving solutions, autonomous driving technologies, smart cockpit, data platform service, and many others.  

FAW Nanjing is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of China’s major auto group, FAW Group. The company completes FAW Group’s automotive AI layout, with a target to remold the human mobility experience.

With FAW Nanjing’s ample onboard data resources and SenseTime’s SenseAuto intelligent vehicle platform, the mass-produced vehicles of FAW’s Hongqi brand will be incorporated with a slew of advanced intelligent technologies.

From visual perception, multi-sensor integrated perception ADAS functions, to intelligent cabin services based on driver/passenger perceptions, the two companies aim to bring users a more intelligent and safe onboard experience.  

Moreover, the partners will also create a data closed loop of “R&D-testing-optimization” to improve their algorithm iteration and shorten the product development cycle.

As of now, SenseAuto has attracted over 30 automakers worldwide, providing services for over 50 vehicle models. The company plans to deploy its SenseAuto products on over 20 million vehicles in the coming years.
