Geely’s ZEEKR teams up with LiDAR supplier RoboSense

Beijing (Gasgoo)- ZEEKR, the young high-end EV brand of Geely has joined hands with LiDAR supplier, RoboSense to explore the intelligent LiDAR system on vehicles.

Building on RoboSense’s intelligent LiDAR system, the two companies aim to discover the possibilities of ZEEKR’s intelligent ADAS technologies and applicated scenarios. It is believable that RoboSense’s LiDARs will be mounted on future ZEEKR models. 

ZEEKR has been eyeing the high-end EV market since birth, and LiDARs are the “it” components to have on private-use vehicles right now. 

The Jijia Long model of the recently debuted Shalong brand from Great Wall Motor is equipped with four LiDARs as a world-first. The soon-to-be off-lined αS-HI model from ARCFOX is mounted with three LiDARs. The M7 from WM Motor, the AION LX PLUS from GAC AION are also said to be equipped with three LiDARs onboard. 

RoboSense fits just in with ZEEKR’s vehicle intelligence demands. The company is currently the only company in the world that has realized mass-applications of intelligent solid-state LiDARs pre-assembly. Its second-generation intelligent solid-state LiDAR wins automakers over with its teensy size and excellence in point cloud quality. The said LiDAR also features a unique “gaze” function that allows dynamic intelligence when switching near/far-field perceptions.
