JD Logistics joins hands with Guangzhou Huadu District for “last-mile” delivery
Beijing (Gasgoo)- JD Logistics of China’s e-commerce giant JD.com announced its partnership with Guangzhou Huadu District authorities for terminal autonomous delivery services in the district.

According to the agreement, JD Logistics will provide terminal delivery services via its autonomous vehicles for Huadu District under different scenarios, meeting specific demands of the district government, companies, and personal usages.
The two parties will work together to construct a pilot zone for autonomous terminal deliveries in Huadu District, realizing contact-less urban delivery demonstration application, accumulating operation experiences, eventually replicating the success to other districts.
In the meantime, the partners will explore the commercialization of intelligent logistics. JD Logistics and Huadu District aim to lead the intellectualization upgrade in the delivery industry, elevate the terminal delivery experience with lower costwhile lowering its cost, and stimulate the district economy.
Moreover, to actively layout out the intelligent V2X field, Huadu District authorities also formed partnerships with three more terminal autonomous delivery companies, namely White Rhino, SinoRobot, and Neolix.
In addition, according to a recent Action Plan released by the district authorities, Huadu District plans to open up over 150 kilometers of autonomous driving demonstration roads by 2023 and turn the whole district into a pilot zone for autonomous driving by 2025.
Currently, the district is constructing a closed intelligent V2X test field, covering 2,300 acres of land.
