The iPilot solution is based on HUAWEI’s MDC 610 platform. It has landed two procurement orders from a car-making startup and a traditional automaker. According to MINIEYE, one of the iPilot-powered models will be a new energy coupe, with a production date set in the third quarter of 2022.
The solution adopts seven cameras, including two front-facing 8-million-pixel HD cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and two 96-beam LiDARs. By virtue of a leading computing platform and sensor combination, iPilot supports multiple intelligent driving system functions, including AEB, ACC, TJA, ICA, and HWP, under various structured or urban scenarios, such as highways or expressways.
Since its establishment, MINIEYE has been striving to develop mass-producible intelligent driving solutions at different levels. The company’s L0-L2 products have already been deployed onto multiple automakers in China, including FAW Group, Geely, SAIC Motor, BYD, and Dongfeng Motor. In 2021, the projected annual delivery volume of the company amounted to roughly 400,000 units.
According to the founder and CEO of MINIEYE, Dr. Liu Guoqing, four of the company’s L2+/L2++ projects have realized mass production on vehicles ranging from sedans, coupes, SUVs, both new energy and fossil-fueled.
