Tech giant Tencent invests in China’s auto OS developer LinearX
Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s tech mogul, Tencent, has become a shareholder to Shanghai-based intelligent driving platform software developer LinearX, according to corporate database, Qichacha.

The database showed that the company had added Guangxi Tencent Venture Capital Co., Ltd., as its new shareholder.
Founded in August 2021, LinearX is currently the only company in China that possesses mass-production experience of SOA architecture regulated intelligent driving operation systems. The LinearX team also holds mature experience in deploying its software on multiple mass-produced models in China.
The founder and CEO of LinearX, Ke Zhuliang, once served as a long-term technical executive in Volkswagen AG and TTTech, responsible for the system design and development work for autonomous driving. Notably, Ke Zhuliang took part in Audi’s zFAS project as the technical director on behalf of TTTech, deploying intelligent driving domain controllers on an Audi A8.
In December 2021, LinearX launched its CarOS product, an expandable heterogeneous multi-core OS service based on AUTOSAR and the SOA architecture. The CarOS is a development system architecture customizable to the diverse needs of automakers.
In addition, LinearX has completed its Angel-round of financing, raising hundreds of thousands of RMB, in October 2021.
