According to the partners, Horizon Robotics’ Journey 2 chip-based Horizon Matrix Mono ADAS solution will be deployed to multiple SGMW models in the first half of 2022. Meanwhile, the Journey 2-based Horizon Halo onboard intelligent interactive solution will be implemented to SGMW’s KiWi EV model in scale.
Moreover, the partners will continue exploring the intellectualization of higher-end vehicles, creating autonomous driving solutions on all levels and onboard intelligent interactive functions. Building on Horizon Robotics’ Journey 5 chips, the two companies will develop a high-performance intelligent computing platform with strong computing power.
Notably, Horizon Robotics has developed a comprehensive automotive intelligence solution, the Horizon Matrix SuperDrive, based on its Journey 5 chip. The launch of the chip helped Horizon Robotics become the sole company in the industry that supplies full scenario automotive intelligence chip solutions ranging from L2 to L4.
Currently, Horizon Robotics is also the only company in China that has realized mass production of auto-grade intelligent chips. The production volume of the company’s Journey series chips has surpassed 1 million pieces.
