According to the partners, their collaborative smart cockpit domain controller has already landed procurement orders from a major Chinese passenger vehicle maker.

Foryou General Electronics has been a long-term partner of BlackBerry for nearly ten years, as the latter's first Tier1 supplier partner in China, with a strong QNX development team and rich practice experiences. The aforementioned intelligent cockpit domain controller project will be powered by BlackBerry QNX's key technologies, including QNX® Neutrino® real-time OS, QNX® Software Development Platform (SDP 7.0), and QNX® Hypervisor.

The intelligent cockpit can realize cross-screen interaction, integrated digital dashboard, onboard infotainment system, and AR-HUD through the partners' latest generation solution.

When designing the domain controller, BlackBerry's QNX® Neutrino® real-time OS and QNX® Hypervisor helped Foryou General Electronics maintain the product's flexibility and expandability. Moreover, BlackBerry's software is able to fuse operation systems with different priority levels and operating environments onto a unified hardware platform. This trait has effectively lowered the costs in the initial development phase and the long run while guaranteeing functional safety and network security.
