Trunk.Tech completes Series B financing round led by BAIC Group

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s commercial vehicle autonomous driving developer, Trunk.Tech has completed its Series B financing round led by BAIC Capital, the venture capital of BAIC Group, the tech company announced on February 16th.

The funding will help Trunk.Tech push its business development in the digital, intelligent, and autonomous commercial vehicle field, producing mass-producible intelligent logistic solutions for the company’s clients.

As a devoted autonomous driving technology developer, Trunk.Tech provides advanced L4 autonomous truck technology and transportation service. The company has been synergizing with the industry in order to form an inclusive new-generation AI logistic network in China. Up to now, Trunk.Tech’s efforts were rewarded by multiple capital ventures from leading AI, logistics, and automotive enterprises, namely, iFlytek, Hidden Hill Capital, NIO, Bosch, and many others.

Business-wise, building on the in-house developed Trunk Master L4 autonomous driving software/hardware system, Trunk.Tech was able to launch multiple production-ready autonomous driving trucks, leading commercialization.

Trunk.Tech’s technology has been implemented in various domestic intelligent logistics hub projects, with more than one hundred driverless heavy-duty trucks. As of now, the company has achieved normalized operations without a safety operator onboard in many significant ports in China.

Meanwhile, Trunk.Tech has formed a trunkline autonomous driving truck fleet with dozens of vehicles, providing transportation services on designated lines with major logistics companies, including JD Logistics, Deppon Express, STO Express, and others. Currently, the company and its partners have accumulated over 1.5 million kilometers of transportation mileage.
