Tencent teams up with China’s Automotive Data Center for ICV development
Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s tech giant, Tencent, announced on March 5th that it had inked a cooperation agreement with China’s Automotive Data Center (ADC) for intelligent connected vehicle technology development.

Per the agreement, Tencent Intelligent Mobility and ADC will work in the progressing autonomous simulation validation and application, simulation evaluation, and autonomous driving cloud aspects. With each’s resources and advantages, the partnership will enhance their existing ecosystem, furthering the automotive intelligence development.
To be specific, Tencent will help ADC accelerate the technology development of simulation, lightweight application, autonomous driving, producible mass data closed-loop, and simulation testing.
Moreover, ADC and Tencent will co-develop products and technologies in various areas, including cloud services, and conduct academic research. The partners will seek potential commercialization opportunities in the automotive, transportation, and education fields.
ADC is a national institute of automotive data integration and services, serving in the big data, big platform, and big computing power areas. The company has worldwide partners throughout the industry, including Bosch, Tesla, Volkswagen AG, Ford, and many other leading entities.
On the other hand, Tencent launched its Intelligent Mobility operation in 2018 and introduced its full-stack intelligent mobility solution. Its open cloud service ecosystem has provided an efficient digital interface and digital toolbox for its partners.
