CICV (China Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (Beijing) Research Institute Co., Ltd.) is an MIIT-approved organization, with 23 leading enterprises and research institutions in the fields of automaking and auto parts as shareholders in China.
Earlier on January 10th, ZVision had just completed its Pre-C investment round, led by XPeng Inc., raising hundreds of millions of RMB. Other existing shareholders of the company include Intel, SAIC Motor’s Shangqi Capital, and China’s autonomous driving developer, DeepRoute.ai.
As one of the early developers of automotive solid-state MEMS LiDARs, ZVision has one short-range MEMS LiDAR, the ML-30s, and one long-range MEMS LiDAR, the ML-Xs on the market. The ML-30s offers a 140°x70° ultra-wide FOV, covering a broad range of vehicle surroundings. In the meantime, the ML-30s allows high-density point cloud export to realize a more precise road situation recognition with high resolutions.
On the other hand, the ML-Xs is powered by ZVision’s self-developed receiving end ASIC chip, with a 120°X25° FOV. The product is dedicated to ADAS and L4+ autonomous driving solutions.
Notably, aside from ZVision, its shareholders also invested in other LiDAR companies. For example, SAIC Motor’s Shangqi Capital has invested in RoboSense, while Baidu’s JIDU auto has reached a partnership with Hesai Technologies.
