Haomo.ai develops ADAS for 34 GWM models awaiting market debut in 2022

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Haomo.ai is developing ADAS products for thirty-four Great Wall Motor vehicle models that are scheduled to hit the market in 2022, the COO of Haomo.ai, Hou Jun, said at the China EV100 Forum.

The COO believed that 2022 would be the watershed year for AI autonomous driving in the entire auto industry in automation, intellectualization, and scaled application. The industry will further its exploration in the highway, open city roads, and low-speed complex scenarios.  

Haomo.ai, the autonomous driving arm of Great Wall Motor, has been preparing for the transformation in various aspects. In the passenger vehicle field, Haomo.ai introduced its HPilot ADAS. The HPilot 1.0 has been implemented onto five Great Wall Motor vehicles since May 2021, including the WEY Mocca, Macchiato DHT, and the Latte DHT, as well as the TANK 300 city trim. The more advanced HPilot 2.0 was deployed to the TANK 500, which has hit the market on March 18th.

Up till now, Haomo.ai has accumulated over 6 million kilometers of ADAS driving mileage generated by its users. 

Additionally, Haomo.ai also holds the R&D responsibility for ADAS on 34 Great Wall Motor models that await market debut, accounting for roughly 80% of the automaker’s new lineup in 2022. Haomo.ai’s technologies will come standard on 30% of the models, while the rest will see the technologies as add-ons on higher-end trims.

Haomo.ai plans to launch its NOH function in the middle of 2022 and its autonomous driving HSD in 2023. By the company’s estimation, its HPilot system will power over 1 million vehicles in the next two years.
