The license was issued by the traffic administration unit of Liuzhou's municipal public security department and endorsed by the management group of the city's intelligent connected vehicle road test and demonstration application. The vehicle will start comprehensive testing in Liuzhou city soon.

According to Dongfeng Motor, the licensed Chenglong H5 is an intelligent connected electric logistic vehicle. The H5 is dedicated to the inbound logistics and transfer scenarios. The vehicle is equipped with cameras, radars, 5G-OBU, and other components. The H5 features C-V2X, 5G remote parallel autonomy control, and on-cloud smart scheduling functions.

The H5 will be tested in Liuzhou under the inbound logistics scenario for auto parts. The tests cover a wide range of routes, including city expressways, open urban roads, and overpasses. The routes consist of various complex operating conditions, such as intersections without traffic lights, in-and-out ramps, and tunnels.

The license issuance signifies Dongfeng Motor’s achievements in commercializing autonomous driving technologies. The company will continue developing advanced solutions in the intelligent and electric commercial vehicle fields.
