The fleet consists of 30 autonomous vehicles that are pre-installed with the company’s L4 autonomous driving solution, the DeepRoute-Driver 2.0. According to the company, the said solution is currently the least costly L4 solution throughout the industry.

Up till now, DeepRoute-Driver 2.0 has been tested in the CBD area of Shenzhen for half a year. The solution is compatible with multiple vehicle models, including Rising Auto’s MARVEL R, Lincoln’s MKZ, and Geely’s Geometry A.

The solution features 2 to 5 solid-state LiDARs and 8 cameras, and is customizable for automakers’ different needs. The solution is powered by NVIDIA’s Orin auto-grade chip, with DeepRoute.ai’s self-developed deduction engine technologies. The configurations allow the solution to accurately sense the environment from 200 meters away. Moreover, in order to ensure the utmost safety, the solution is also installed with a redundant perception system.

Currently, the cost of the DeepRoute-Driver 2.0 is less than $10,000, which can be reduced by another 70% under mass-production premise with automakers, said the CEO of DeepRoute.ai, Zhou Guang.

The company expects to deploy its L4 autonomous driving solutions in a large scale by 2024.
