Founded in 2015, Boonray is one of the earlier companies to focus on autonomous solutions for mines in China, and launched its Boonray iDrive full-stack autonomous solution.
The Boonray iDrive is built with thorough consideration of the environment of mine lots and the effects it poses to driverless mine cars. The company conducted detailed optimization on the perception functions on the solution with the help from Hesai Technology’s XT32 and QT64 LiDARs.
Boonray’s technology powered intelligent mine lots can reach a production capacity of 2,500 tons with a single shift under pilot operations, and a daily average work load of 3,000 tons on site.
Up till now, Boonray holds roughly a hundred patents, fifty inventions, and ten ongoing projects in Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Sichuan, Shanxi, Henan, and Xinjiang.
Notably, Boonray has deployed nearly 30 battery-electric autonomous mine cars in its Luoyang mine lot, accumulating over 300 days of crewless transportation and 60,000 safe trips. The Luoyang project has inspired the company to advance its electric mine car applications and push battery-swapping technologies onto the cars. By the end of 2022, Boonray aims to have a hundred mine cars in ten mine lots.
