Other members of the alliance include Wuhan FisiLink Microelectronics Technology, Wuhan LinControl Automotive Electronics, Wuhan University of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Nuclei System Technology, TKD Science and Technology, China Automotive Technology and Research Center, and Rigger Micro Technologies.
The alliance will focus on the national demand and international scientific frontier of automotive chips. With the government, production, and research as its leverages, the nine companies aim to master the complete definition, design, manufacturing, closed beta test, controller R&D, and application.
Under the macro environment of auto-grade chip supply crunch, China has been actively reinforcing its own competitiveness in the field. Being a crucial component to intelligent connected vehicles, the bar is exceptionally high for modern auto-grade chips on account of reliability and intelligence.
As one of the largest auto groups in China, Dongfeng Motor can help chip suppliers in regards of real-life applications. The auto group plans to take advantage of its million-vehicle auto chip usage to stimulate demands for domestic automotive chips. Its addition to the alliance will boost the construction of a leading MCU and automotive chip industrial cluster in China.
