According to Plus, the Plus Build program is able to turn new and existing Class 8 freight trucks into PlusDrive-powered semi-autonomous trucks within one day, by equipping them with state-of-the-art lidar, radar, camera sensors, and autonomous driving software.
Being the company’s signature autonomous solution, PlusDrive improves safety, enhances driver comfort, and saves at least 10% in fuel costs. Installation of the Plus Build program is performed in or near major transportation hubs across the U.S. The company also offers maintenance services countrywide via mobile resources to reach users everywhere.
Shawn Kerrigan, COO and Co-founder of Plus said that “Velociti’s unmatched technology installation and service network will help us get PlusDrive into the hands of more truck drivers across the country to make their jobs safer, easier, and better.”
The partnership with Velociti allows Plus to branch out its PlusDrive service across America. The Plus Build program has already attracted multiple large fleets and truck manufacturers worldwide. The companies are operating PlusDrive-enabled trucks on the road today.
In addition, Plus is also implementing Velociti’s VeloCare solution, a flagship proactive system-health monitoring program including remote and mobile services to maximize technology uptime.
