RoboSense joins hands with dSPACE for LiDAR validation in intelligent driving

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 17th, China’s LiDAR supplier RoboSense announced its strategic cooperation with validation solution provider dSPACE, advancing LiDARs’ development and test validations in intelligent driving.

According to the agreement, RoboSense will integrate several LiDAR sensors into dSPACE’s simulation and validation toolchain for ADAS and autonomous driving. Specifically, the duo will utilize dSPACE’s AUTERA data collector and the AURELION scenario sensor simulation software for R&D and adaptation. Moreover, the partners will also branch out their cooperation to production, research, and marketing, in an effort to reinforce the global intelligent driving industry. 

Founded in 1988, dSPACE strives for the development and validation of autonomous driving electric vehicles. The company provides toolchains for various major automakers and suppliers worldwide, in the intelligent, electric, and connected technology fields. Its experienced simulation environment offers accurate sensor model and environment simulation, helping clients complete precise and efficient tests and validation on the perception stack. 

On the other hand, RoboSense is currently the only tech company in the world that realized pre-assembly mass production for homegrown LiDAR. Its superior technological accumulation in hardware, perceptual software, and chips allows RoboSense to elevate its technology R&D and expand its product application across the world. 

By 2021, RoboSense holds over 700 LiDAR-related patents globally. In February 2022, the company bagged the largest single investment round in the automotive LiDAR industry, exceeding RMB2.4 billion ($379.3 million).
