Baolong strengthens cooperation with ADAS developer Leadmove with investment

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s auto parts supplier Shanghai Baolong Automotive Corporation (Baolong) and ADAS developer Leadmove have inked a strategic agreement for Baolong to invest in the latter.

Baolong and Leadmove will reinforce their cooperation within the intelligent driving field, and co-build intelligent driving business. 

The strategic investment is a sign of the duo’s commitment in the relationship. The two companies have already been cooperating for years. In October 2020, Baolong and Leadmove set up an intelligent driving-dedicated joint venture, which has achieved periodical results. 

Their co-developed PAEB commercial vehicle-use emergency braking system has been deployed onto a dozen vehicle models, and started mass production in 2021. Their 1V1R monocular vision product has been procured by three automakers. Their driving/parking integrated domain controller recently received a procurement order from a new energy vehicle maker in 2022.  

Founded in 2018, Leadmove is a dedicated automotive intelligent driving system developer, with its business revolving around L2 ADAS and L3 controllers. The company’s team came from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and General Electric, with years of expertise in AI algorithm R&D and edge computing platform design. 

Since its establishment, Leadmove has launched several mass-produced products, including AI-based front-view ADAS and China’s first FPGA chip-based heterogeneous multi-core L3 domain controller. The company has formed partnerships with various Chinese automakers and Tier1 suppliers.
