Liangdao Intelligence, the system supplier of the project initiated by the Wuppertal government, collects traffic data on pedestrians, bikes, and motor vehicles with the integrated roadside perception system placed by the company on the main streets in the city.
As a crucial partner of LiangDao Intelligence, Mercedes-Benz will provide the desensitized data regarding driving behavior and vehicle location from its mass production vehicles, which will be developed into a traffic data-flow model by LiangDao Intelligence.
Building on the model, the Chinese LiDAR supplier will conduct multi-dimensional data integration analysis, evaluation, and on-cloud toolchain deployment, to accurately predict pedestrians’ and cars’ intentions and output traffic volume and prediction data. The series of actions will become a strong foundation for Wuppertal intelligent traffic project.
Notably, LiangDao Intelligence has been actively laying out in Germany. Its LiDAR-based roadside perception system was rewarded first place by the Munich Innovation Challenge 2021.
