Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 31st, China’s new energy vehicle startup Li Auto announced that it would soon facilitate another OTA update, the OTA 3.1 version, to its only model on the market, the Li ONE.

The expected OTA update will finally enable the anticipated straight-line summon function. The function allows users to remotely control the vehicle from outside the car via the Li Auto mobile application, controlling the car moving forth or back in a straight line. The function can be practical and convenient when parking in or driving out of a tight parking spot.

In the meantime, Li Auto enhanced its intelligent driving system with the new OTA update. Its NGP function is able to grasp a more accurate timing to announce lane changing or on/off ramp opportunities. Based on individual preferences, the offset of the cruise control function can be modified. Li Auto said that over 100,000 users have activiated and enjoyed the NGP function so far.

Moreover, the startup made certain optimizations of its general ADAS functions for a smoother onboard experience when jammed in traffic. For example, a traffic cone alert function was added to the OTA 3.1. The new function can alert drivers in advance when encountering constructions sections on the road.

Additionally, an audio equalizer function will also be available with the update. Up to now, Li Auto has performed 23 OTA updates to its Li ONE users, upgrading 143 functions on the 2020 Li ONEs and 127 functions on the 2021 Li ONEs.
