WeRide joins hands with LiDAR maker RoboSense

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On June 10th, leading L4 autonomous driving developer WeRide announced its strategic partnership with RoboSense, the intelligent LiDAR supplier.

The partnership enables RoboSense to deploy its auto-grade intelligent solid-state LiDAR onto WeRide’s autonomous vehicles, making advancements in the pre-assembly mass production and commercialization of autonomous driving technologies. 

The cooperation is formed on the companies’ shared vision of technology innovation, commercial application, product volume manufacturing, and the principle of safety first when it comes to autonomous driving. 

Up to now, WeRide has branched out its autonomous driving R&D, test, and operation to more than 23 cities worldwide, accumulating safe self-driving distance of more than 11 million kilometers. Aside from its own Robotaxi fleet, WeRide also provide SAE L2-L4 autonomous driving products and solutions to the market, focusing on a variety of scenarios, including smart mobility, intelligent cargo transportation, and smart street cleaning. The company has attracted clients all over the world.   

In an effort to keep up with market demands, RoboSense has partnered up with multiple companies throughout the industry, forming a complete supply system. In addition, the LiDAR maker’s several intelligent production lines have basically taken form, which will bring up the company’s annual production capacity of a million units upon completion.
