Baolong and Metoak has been cooperating in the binocular stereoscopic vision technology field since 2018. In the past half-decade, the partners have achieved various results. In ADAS field, the duo’s LDW and PAEB binocular system co-developed with Knorr-Bremse has landed procurement orders from many automakers, such as Hino Motors, FAW-Jiefang, and SAIC-IVECO Hongyan.
In the meantime, the partners received orders from a major Chinese passenger vehicle maker for its road previewing system, marking China’s first pre-assembly project of its kind.
The successful relationship between Baolong and Metoak laid out the foundation for the joint venture. The joint venture will be an easier way for the companies to play out their advantages. With Metoak’s technology accumulation, intellectual property rights, and strong R&D capability, paired with Baolong’s veteran experience and resources, the two make a complementary cooperation.
The joint venture will focus on the R&D of auto-grade visual chips, and the expansion of stereoscopic vision businesses, including ADAS and previewing system.
