Geely-backed ECARX, SiEngine showcase SE1000-powered demonstration vehicle

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Geely-backed ECARX and its automotive chip subsidiary SiEngine showcased their co-developed demonstration vehicle equipped with the SE1000 7nm intelligent cockpit SoC.

In the meantime, ECARX is also working on the development of the next-generation computing module based on the SE1000. 

Leveraging the high computing power generated by SE1000’s high-performance heterogeneous architecture, the demonstration vehicle offers smooth operation of the onboard system with quick responses. The cockpit also features strong video CODEC capability, a high bandwidth display channel, multi-screen multimedia display, high-performance audio interface, and intelligent speech function.  

In the meantime, ECARX is also working on the development of the next-generation computing module based on the SE1000. The module will be fully integrated with ECARX’s mass production and application experience accumulated from over 3.2 million cooperative vehicles, as well as its insights into automotive design and smart mobility. The module will give full play to the SE1000’s design features like hardware-based security quarantine capability, digital meter, multiple video input and output, high-speed large-volume RAM, and other core functions. 

The SE1000-based computing module and development kit will help automakers and Tier1 suppliers shorten R&D time and compress costs. ECARX and SiEngine plan on continue developing more products to meet the rapid growth of the automotive intelligence industry.
