Per the agreement, one of Leapmotor’s mass-produced sedan model will be deployed with Chuhang Technology’s 77GHz front-facing radar and 77GHz blind-spot detection radar in an effort to enhance the vehicle’s autonomous driving system. The two products will realize mass production and application soon.
As two of the few auto-grade millimeter-wave radars that have realized mass production, the said two products also possess ASPICE CL2 international certification, ISO 26262 ASIL-B function security certification, and other technology certifications as well as compliant software.
The two radars will serve as an essential part of Leapmotor’s autonomous driving system, enabling multiple ADAS functions, including ACC, AEB, and BSD, keeping the vehicle in a safe distance and reducing the risks of collision. In the meantime, Chuhang Technology will provide Leapmotor with customization service, helping the automaker perfect its ADAS capabilities, and realize application under more scenarios.
n addition, Chuhang Technology currently holds a radar manufacturing base in Anqing, Anhui Province. The optimized production lines can offer a full production capacity of 1.8 million units of radars yearly.
