The partnership specifies that Black Sesame Technologies and Uhnder will co-develop a stronger and more reliable next-generation safety perception technology, helping to create a safer smart mobility experience. The partnership boosted Black Sesame Technologies to the first autonomous driving chip supplier that supports 4D millimeter-wave radars in China.
Building on the chip supplier’s HuaShan-2 A1000 auto-grade autonomous driving computing chip with big computing power, and Uhnder’s leading high-precision 4D millimeter-wave radar, the duo plan to come up with a solution that tackles the two major ADAS safety challenges.
Specifically, the first thing to deal with is the lack of image resolution and contrast, which cause the vehicle unable to accurately detect and distinguish objects. Secondly, the duo will also work to solve the mutual interference problem among radars.
As one of the leading developers targeting the autonomous driving chip and platform field, Black Sesame Technologies is the first Chinese company that acquired full-set certifications of ASPICE CL2, ISO 26262:2018 ASIL-D, ISO26262 ASIL-B, and AEC-Q100 criteria.
