The license gives Inceptio Technology the permission to conduct autonomous driving road tests with an empty driver’s seat in designated areas in Deqing. The license is one among two licenses issued by the municipal government of Deqing. The other one is issued to the L4 trucks of Alibaba Group.
The issuance of the license will boost Inceptio Technology into a higher level of driverless test phase that is more open, more advanced, and closer to real-life operations.
As one of the leading companies dedicated to providing autonomous driving middle-mile logistics service, Inceptio Technology has taken several measures to achieve the goal. The company has independently developed a full-stack mass-production autonomous driving system, Xuanyuan, which has been deployed by Dongfeng Trucks, SINOTRUK, ZF, WABCO, and BOSCH.
On December 23rd 2021, Inceptio Technology has completed China’s first production-ready L4 driverless heavy-duty test in the Laiwu closed highway test field. The test simulates rich and realistic scenarios and traffic flow, which fully challenges Inceptio Technology’s L4 capability. The company has successfully passed the test with no human onboard or remote intervention.
