Bosch-backed ETAS joins hands with SemiDrive for AUTOSAR solutions

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Nanjing-based auto chip developer SemiDrive struck a strategic cooperation deal with software-defined vehicle solution provider, ETAS, for AUTOSAR solution development.

Per the agreement, the two companies will provide customers with a complete functional and information security-compliant AUTOSAR solution based on SemiDrive’s auto-grade processors and microcontrollers, as well as ETAS’ complete embedded development and information security products. 

In order to better serve customers, SemiDrive is committed to building a complete and open ecosystem. The Chinese company has been conducting technology communications with ETAS since 2020. Through joint efforts of both sides, SemiDrive’s automotive processors and microcontrollers have been equipped with ETAS' basic engineering based on SemiDrive’s chips, as well as related information security firmware drivers and RTA-SEC modules. 

The duo has provided complete chips+AUTOSAR solutions for a number of customers. 

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bosch, ETAS provides vehicle basic software, middleware, and development tools for the realization of software-defined vehicles. The company is represented in twelve countries in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. 

ETAS established its Shanghai entity in 2005, with offices in Beijing, Wuhan, Changchun, Chongqing, and Guangzhou.
